Tharp, Inc. is known throughout the West Coast as the leading trucking sales, parts and service provider – a reputation that has been earned through eight decades of pure, hard dedication to keeping promises and getting every job done right the first time. It’s that dedication that can be traced through three generation of Tharps, right back to E.M. “Gene” Tharp himself, the man who started it all in 1935. Gene quickly developed the original E.M. Tharp Trucking firm from a single used truck into a fleet of tractors and specialty equipment, a commercial hauling business that thrived for over 25 years. Our company has expanded to three full service locations spread across the central valley of California, with services in Bakersfield, Fresno and Porterville. We have also become the parent company to many service companies including American Truck Parts & Salvage, Kroeger Equipment & Supply, Viking Trailers and Temco Financial.
